Blue islands AMAMI #1
Japan is known as an island country. There are 4 main islands called Kyushu, Honshu, Shikoku (see previous blog about Kochi in Shikoku) and Hokkaido. Japan is long from north to south. And this time, Muse Ricette takes you to the Amami Islands that is called as "the Galapagos in the East" this time.

It takes just one hour and a half flight from Haneda, Tokyo to this beautiful islands. Flight path is the route on the Pacific ocean. You can't stop looking the beautiful scenery once taking off. It's literally you keep putting your forehead to the window during travel. If you seat at the west side, you will see the mount Fuji from the sky. I do recommend you to seat the east side. Islands lying from the sough of Tokyo can be seen. Oshima, Niijima, Takeshima and a part of Izu seven islands in the pacific ocean. If the weather is clear, you will see the look of islands, state of waves and beautiful terrain of Japan created by volcano.
After a short time of taking off airplane, blue color of ocean is getting deeper and deeper. Water is too clear to see coral reef even from the above sky! It's the sign that Amami is almost getting closer and closer. I can't wait to run to the beach!
My face feels tropical hot wind and I smell a little bit salty in the breeze when I landed to the island airport.. Let's escape from bunch of things in the city for a while and just sit back and relax only to feel the nature and adventure in the blue islands.
Let's grab the key of rental car at the airport! No signals, no traffic. Just blue sky and ocean.

日本は世界からみれば”島国。九州、本州、四国、北海道と大きな4つ島が南北に細長く連なった島国。一 番南に位置する九州。そこから台湾のそばまで太平洋上に飛び石に弧状列島(islamd arc) その中のひと つ奄美郡島が今日の旅先。
東京羽田からわずか1H30分のフライトで、東洋のガラパゴスという別名を持つ島”奄美”に到着する。羽 田から奄美へは日本の太平洋側を通る経路。島に到着するまでの時間は空からの美しい風景に目を奪われる。 西側のシートに座れば富士山を真上から眺めることができるが、私は、東側のシートに座ることをおすすめ る。フライトしてすぐに東京から南に連なる大島、新島、武島、伊豆七島の一部を臨むことができる。天気 がよければ、島の様子、打ち寄せる波までみることができ、火山によってつくられた日本という島国の美し さを垣間みることができます。この伊豆七島の紹介はまた別の機会に!
離陸してしばらくすると、はるか空 の上からでもわかるほど海の蒼さ が増していくと、もう奄美が近い。 上空からでもその透明度の高さが わかることに驚く。珊瑚の棚がど こにあるのかまでわかる。早くあ のビーチに降り立ちたいと心が逸る。
飛行機を降りた途端、少し海の香 りのする熱風が押し寄せる。さぁ、 数日間の逃避行、Bule islandアド ベンチャーのはじまりだ。右に海 を見ながら海外線を走る。信号も 渋滞もないただ空と海だけの道を 走る。東京の喧騒が遠い国の出来事のように感じる不思議な瞬間だ。
